The words of the border officials as we arrived in Jordan from Eilat, “Your Welcome Your Welcome”. What a contrast from the Israel soldier armed with an automatic assault rifle asking us to move on in “no mans land” while we waited for Sib and Pris in the second vehicle. When we arrived into Aqaba the atmosphere is so so noticeable. It was as if a blanket of stress was lifted and we could say good buy to the security checks, paranoia, suspicion, guns, guns, guns and unhappy faces.
So it’s a few more smiles, which started when we got through Jordan’s border post, then as we drove into Petra and we predict many more if we can get into Egypt!!!
