I’ve just found an old Springbok rugby Jersey on Bar Bar desert beach, West Bank Nile River, west of the first cataract, Aswan, Egypt.
I don’t know how long it’s been there, but judging by the material and sun damage, probably quiet a while. It should be an interesting story on how it got there, on top of the hill.

      Hey Nic
Now that is amazing that is most probably around mid-ninety’s. I would say it’s an overland tour for the 1995 world cup!!! I have a friend who was doing all the overland tours then will pass it onto him
      Cheers love to the family

      • Appreciate that Billy, would be good to find it’s owner!

Are we seeing you in Zimbabwe (south banks of Kariba), Kenya, Bot etc in June??

        Cheers

    Amazing find Nic!

    • Yip, walked past it and said to Nicky “I laugh it’s a Springbok Rugby Jersey” and walked straight past it, and nicky flipped it over out of the golden sand of the edge of the western sahara and wow, it was the green and the gold! So yes, the story may be nice, possibly something framable and auction material for charity??

  3. Joe says:

I think Kingsley Holgate and his merry men went that way – perhaps ask him?

  4. Carel says:

Hi Nick – that looks like a authentic player jersey! What a weird find. Hope things are cool – enjoy.

Now that is an intresting find. Is it maybe Christiaan Scholtz? Will be awesome to know.
